It was tough, but Team Fornazor braved the record-breaking heat and attended SIAL Paris October 2012. The weather was suffocating, but we were in Paris, so how could we really complain?

As of mid-August 2012, the summer drought has covered over 60 percent of the contiguous 48 states.

Fornazor’s Specialty Food Team participated in a Focused Trade Mission to Dubai, UAE and Doha, Qatar. The mission offered a focused dialogue with pre-selected appointments in the commercial bakery sector. Susan Rosenthal Jay and Anthony Micci met with more than a dozen owners and general managers of leading commercial bakeries and ingredient distributors. Who knew that pizza was a staple in Doha, right along with hummus and tabouli salad? There were also receptions hosted in each city by the country’s Ambassador…a very enjoyable way to network!

Team Fornazor roamed the Kosherfest yesterday, held at the Meadowlands Convention Center in New Jersey. Kosherfest is the world’s largest kosher food, foodservice, beverage, wine and spirits trade show, and now in its 23rd year. We enjoyed every bite, tasting a little here, and a little more there. There were unlimited goodies to eat….from gefilte fish and spreads to desserts….and everything in between.
